Post Massey 1:3 Knowle Reply with quote
All the usual stuff is on http://www.mffc.co.uk

The game itself was a good local derby, well contested with Knowle just about deserving of the three points. Knowle's second goal, Mykel Pryce, was an absolute screamer, finding the top corner from 25 yards with a left footed strike that Paul Sheppard in the Massey goal had no chance with.

Massey's equaliser was top drawer as well with Martin Gormley gettng ahead of his man to flick a Shane Brassington cross into the net from 6 yards.

Knowle's other two goals were scored by Nathaniel Jones, two poachers strikes, the first a tap-in after a cross from the right wing, the second just a stabbed finish inside the six yard box after a Knowle corner wasn't dealt with.

A few pictures - there are more @ http://www.mffc.co.uk

Nathaniel Jones celebrates the opening goal for Knowle

Valentines Day may be a week away but Shane Brassington and Martin Gormley don't need a special day to show their affection for one another

Micheal 'Nobby' Glynn was subjected to some rough treatment

Josh Gunter was in typically combative mood for Massey's

The look on Rickie Cutting's face sums things up for Massey's

Meanwhile, after the game

Mr. RedDragon often has an excuse for his failure to score but there can be no excuse for this miss...

How easy is that chance!!!

Awful...

Admittedly I was much worse, but what these pictures do show is the quality of the tables at the Massey Ferguson social club, well worth a visit after a game, there's a dart board as well and live football/rugby/dancing on ice on the big screen to enjoy. So if you've never been down before why not pay a visit after the Meir KA game on Saturday?

Yeah, bizarrely enough there were no pictures of you making an idiot of yourself, which is a shame really as there was that incident where you tried to take the quick throw in using the ball at the side of the pitch... when the matchball was still in play! That was quite foolish! Other than that though you did ok salut

Cheers! To be fair to Mr. Dragon, he wasn't good, but I was much, much worse! I've started to put the pictures onto my website @ http://www.photomarc.info - Got the Copsewood Ladies 4:2 win over TNS on Sunday Afternoon on there today, I got a slightly longer lens before the game on Saturday and I've been pretty pleased with the results up to now.

I think we're going to risk darts next week... I don't think Meir are coming back to the club after the game, and given Mr. Dragon's sporting prowess that may prove to be a very sensible move! Wink
