Oaksey fair play to you for coming on and saying that one of your loyal players has took you for a MUG d'oh! after your post on player loyalte the other week.
I was quite annoyed to tell you the truth by yours and matts post on matters down at my club with certain players leaving for what ever reason and how heart renching it was for Rich to leave in the first place Boo hoo! .
I had to chuckel tho about the Stu Hall situation, about hes come home (3 TIMES THIS SEASON) because Stu often sat on the bench for us midweek before Bromsgrove came calling.
Never once had he asked for petrol money just a kid trying to play as high as he can i'm not gonna say he is or not good enough but his attitude at training was spot on.
Fair play to the kid for giving it a go as a manager you should be trying to encourage it THEN YOU WILL HAVE THE PLAYERS LOYALTE.
Maybe because he likes you so much he thought he had to give you a cock n bull story to let you down gentle or did he feel pressured to play for Fairfield.
Play for Fairfield or play for Bromsgrove play for Highgate or play for Solihull it's a no brainer.
To slate a player on here is not very good PR even i no that Paul.
OHC, even the BATCH has come back cheers maybe i can build that team around him the cut off dates almost up lol.
p.s a couple of weeks ago stu hall was on the bench for Rovers but starred for you on the same day study

Macd11,

I think you have got the wrong impression about Oaksey... Oaksey is more than happy for players to try there hand at a higher level... Hally went to Halesowen last season to give it ago and came back, tried his hand again at Rovers at the start of the season only for it not to work out and came back (rightly or wrongly)... Andy Nic start pre season with Evasham and them off to Studley, Donny went off to Studley last season...

All that Oaksey asks for is for players to be up front and honest with him and conduct there business in the right manor, in return Oaksey will do anything for his players. Not tell him i'm only going to help midweek, and when asked if he'll be there Saturday for the player to turn round and say yes i'll be there on the Friday but if it changes to let him know by a certain time Saturday morning. For the said player not bother to text call or even answer his phone when Oaksey calls to see what the crack is is in my opinion out of order.

What annoyed you about my comments exactly?
I purposely refused to comment on the matters at your club, I suggest you read my posts again!

I also think you are wide of the mark when you suggest Paul perhaps takes a look at himself and adopts a policy of encouraging players to move higher.
I know if the player wants to do so Paul does exactly what your suggesting as have I as you are also very much aware of.
He would rather people were more open is all he was suggesting.

How did Rich do last Tuesday ? Boo hoo!

Mac Your comments are noted and you are entitled to your opinion, with regards to encouraging my players to play at the highest level as possible I WILL NEVER STAND IN THIER WAY. I do however expect a degree of courtesy and have never pressurised any one into playing for me, how can I?
plenty of players have had the opportunity to play higher and have gone with my blessing and many have returned due to the manner the business has been conducted.
Have i got my players respect and loyalty only they can answer that.
I know the circumstances surrounding Hally on Saturday i doubt you do, Stuart Hall has given 4 years of good service to me and Lee Shaw and FVFC I will alway's thank him for that.
The statement regarding playing for Halesowen,Bromsgrove,Highgate or Fairfield being a no brainer is funny, the latter BIG clubs are or were clubs in dis array and were glad to have players to fulfill the fixtures will they retain the services of the players drafted in when times are better, time will tell.

No probs Oaksey just didn't agree with using forums to slag players off especially your own, your quote when you started the thread a few weeks ago.
Yes i do no what happened between you and stu as i speak to the lad quite often including last night.
But you do your bussiness in your way and if it's right for you fair play.

MACD11 - Just an after thought, but why are you contacting players anyway and not the clubs?
Regardless of who it is or at what level (i.e Division 1) you should have the common decency to ask for the club's permission for individuals to play for you mid-week rather than phoning them yourself? What would happen if this lad had been injured playing for your side in the week? You wouldn't be too bothered I suppose, as it would be the loss of the Saturday and Sunday sides that have shown the player loyalty who would be at a loss. Red Card Red Card Red Card

I think Oaksey (knowing him as a do) would give any player his blessing at stepping up a level or 2 and would welcome them back with open arms if they had done things in the right manner - as Stu Hall and Andy Nicol + others have done in the past. We have had the same situation also and its not a problem at all. As long as everyone knows what is required there won't be any problems and when people step over the mark, you have to address the issues mutually. I think this way everyone knows where they stand and issues can be sorted quickly.

PS don't see how you can comment on player loyalty if you are pulling players in for mid week games?

I'm lost Lee who are we talking about deeming or stu if it's stu we signed him to join us he decided to go HOME after realising he needs to get sharper he left on good terms when he has no game he rings me up and asked if we need him he is signed with rovers, halesowen, highgate and fairfield so who do i speak to first scratch as far as I'm concerned he's signed with us from rovers earlier in the season not Fairfield, stu signed when i first went to Highgate and Snapper waved the seven days maybe it should be me complaining hey Lee..
Or is it deeming who left to go back to you NO SEVEN DAYS NEEDED as just like Stu had already signed for NT.
I don't get the player loyalty bit tho, Hednesford just took one of my players for a midweek game against the leaders the other day that's football Lee, i said go for it make a name for yourself kid don't worry about us, footballs a short life span you can go down the pub with your mates anytime and have a kick around but the chance to play higher is what it's all about wouldn't you agree after all.

can I help clear up a point or two,
I was well aware hally was playing for you, he told me and went with my blessing, also hally went to Halesowen with my blessing but only told me he was going on the Friday night before our game on Saturday.
After it didn't work out I was only too glad to have him return to us. He then hawked himself round Bromsgrove rovers after telling me Snapper was interested in him, I spoke to Snapper and asked why no 7 days as protocal should suggest, he said he didnt know Hally from Adam he had turned up training wanting to get involved and then left us again. Then after not getting in he returned again against my better judgement, but as a mate and after me explaining getting assurances he wanted to stay we again lwelcomed him back.
So I was let down when it happened again, now I am not against players bettering themselves and am happy for them when they do progress, I simply believe a degree of courtesy is required that is all.
Is that wrong???

Paul, everybody who knows you knows you never have, or never would stand in a players way of playing at a better level of football that you can offer them. People who know you also know what a top bloke you are and how you treat everybody respectfully and in the manner you would wish to be treated yourself.
People aren't wanting you to change so don't get hung up about the amount of times Hally or anyone has done this to you. Whatever decisions you make footballing wise, and whatever results and performances you get on your match day you know that you can sleep straight at night.
You will get over this experience Paul and you will be better for it, but you wouldn't if you lowered your standards to meet others.

I too wish Hally the very best of luck at Bromsgrove, but there's no doubt he should of acted in a better way getting there, but that's not for you to worry about mate.
